Dr. Mufson is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with over thirty years of experience treating patients in the South Florida area.  He is a graduate of Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia and the post-graduate oral and maxillofacial residency  training program at Georgetown University Medical Center in Washington, DC.

In a professional, friendly and caring environment, services performed range

from removal of impacted wisdom teeth, to replacement of teeth with dental implants, exposure of impacted teeth and other procedures  for orthodontic patients, removal/biopsy of growths, and others (also see “About Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery”).

Many procedures are performed very comfortably with local anesthesia or, depending on the procedure or patients’ individual apprehension or needs,

other anesthesia options are available, such as IV sedation or deep sedation/general anesthesia.

More advanced  procedures are performed in a hospital setting, if needed or desired.  Dr. Mufson maintains staff privileges at Aventura Hospital and Medical Center, Hollywood Memorial Regional and Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.
